Tears of the Fisherman
The "Fisherman's Tears" pendant lamp by Ingo Maurer was born from the enchantment that the designer felt while walking through Venice at dawn. After watching the fishermen return with their nets full of fish, immersed in the water and illuminated by the reflections of the first light of day, Maurer was fascinated by the beauty of that moment. The effect of the droplets that shone on the nets inspired the creation of this lamp, where Swarovski crystals reproduce the magic of those drops of water. A strategically positioned projector enhances the effect, recreating the light that dances on the surfaces, just like that moment in the lagoon.
Ingo Maurer – Ceiling lamp Tears of the Fisherman; The lamp consists of 3 nylon nets of different sizes, 385 crystals. The bulb, Ø 11 cm, is fixed to the wall separately.
If mounted in a suitable position, Fisherman's Tears shines even in the sunlight during the day. By combining several specimens, you can easily create a poetic and impressive light object.
