Collection: Memphis
The Memphis movement was born in Milan in 1981, founded by the visionary designer Ettore Sottsass. Characterized by a rebellious and postmodern approach, the group stood out for its use of eccentric geometric shapes, bright colors and innovative materials, breaking with traditional design canons. The movement revolutionized the world of design, mixing influences of pop, Art Deco and minimalism, creating pieces that were as functional as they were daring.
Among the most famous designers who were part of Memphis are Ettore Sottsass , Michele De Lucchi , Aldo Cibic , Martine Bedin and Shiro Kuramata , all known for their iconic creations that challenge the conventions of traditional design.
