The iconic Taccia lamp now uses the latest LED technology and combines quality lighting with advantageous energy consumption. Designed by the Castiglioni brothers, the Taccia lamp is one of the great lighting classics. It came out of the Flos workshops in 1962 and looked like a great projector. Taccia celebrates the industrial design dear to our two Italian designers. This lamp is composed of a ribbed aluminum base on which a deep mouth-blown transparent glass bell is hinged. A painted aluminum disc covers the bell and acts as a reflective screen for the bulb hidden in the body of the lamp. Taccia diffuses high-quality indirect light, adjustable from top to bottom. A true design icon, Taccia's aesthetic qualities persist: placed on a piece of furniture or on the floor, it brings a very avant-garde loft spirit. Achille Castiglioni said of Taccia in 1970 that it represented ''the Mercedes of lamps, a symbol of success: perhaps because it looks like a classic column''.
